About Me
I was born in Colorado Springs, CO and moved to Illinois the summer before 7th grade. I went to Junior High and High School in Princeton, IL. I was very involved in school. I was a member of the National Honor Society, Pom Pons, Choir, Show Choir, Star Spangled singers, FCLA, a Thespian, and a member of Lifesavers. I have a passion for dance and have danced since the age of three.
I went to Western Illinois University for a year and a half then transferred to Northern Illinois University. I have worked full time as a Certified Pharmacy Technician all through college. I graduated in 2006. I started teaching at Genoa-Kingston middle school teaching 6th grade Reading, English, and Math. I then moved to teaching 8th grade Reading, English, and Math. My 3rd year teaching was in Bartlett, IL teaching 8th grade English, Honors English, Reading, and Science. I then taught in Bartlett teaching 8th grade Algebra, Reading, and 7th grade Social studies. Last year I taught in Champaign, IL teaching 6th grade Reading. I also enjoy coaching. I coached a cheer/dance team for two years at Genoa-Kingston and coached the Bartlett High School dance team for football season in 2009. I love teaching middle school and enjoy sharing my passion for learning.
